Getting started writing on the blog is tough! So many decisions... What topic to start with on what day, pacing myself so I do not burn out, making it enjoyable and not like another job (I have one already, I don't need to make another one). Not to mention I need to make sure I am still keeping the kids as my number one priority. Thank goodness I just found the blogger app for my iPhone so that while I am waiting for anything, including drying off at the pool (not that I am doing that right now or anything!), I can start typing up a post! And how much easier to upload a photo than through the app since my photos are conveniently right there in my phone!
For next week's posts, I have decided to dedicate each day to an activity my family did this summer. We were unable to afford a big vacation, so instead we found fun places that are within 2 hours of our house to explore. We have lived in Central Kentucky for 7 years, and yet have not seen a lot that surrounds us. Though it was hard to work around Damien's work hours (since he works in a restaurant, he works a lot of weekends) and my summer school hours, we were able to pull off a pretty fun summer for the kids on the cheap.
And yes, I was totally drying off at the pool while typing this up. It was a slightly chillier day for the first of August, and the pool was quite empty feeling, something I had not witnessed until today!

I have found that a blog planner makes getting posts done so much easier, and I completely agree about not making it another job! I hate public pools during this time because they are always sooo busy! You guys definitely lucked up with an empty pool! Looks like the kids are having a blast! Stopping in from SITS!
ReplyDeleteI will have to look into doing the blog planner, especially as I straighten things up, a great way to keep myself organized. Thank you for the idea! Thank you for stopping by!
DeleteI tried visiting your page, Britton, and I cannot get it to come up? I will try again later!
DeleteWe've been going on a lot of day trips this summer also instead of taking a big vacation. It's kind of nice to sleep in your own bed a night, and with little kids I think it's easier.
ReplyDeleteOh yes!! Sleeping in your own bed is definitely a plus! Thank you for visiting!!
DeleteSo jealous you are at the pool! I haven't had a great pool or beach day yet this summer!
ReplyDeleteYou need to be making some plans then! Hope you are able to head to one or the other =)
